Self Portrait

It's been a while since I've done any portrait work, so here we are:

City Lights

Over the next couple of months I'm going to try to get a series of night shots going from around the city. Took a nice long bike ride tonight and here are my favorites...enjoy.

1st Attempt, Daytime Long Exposure

For anyone wondering, this was done by retro-fitting a piece of 4x5" grade 10 welding glass to a lens filter, and then attaching that to the lens. Since the welding glass is extremely dark, it allows you to set up incredibly long exposures during full daylight. I believe this shot was getting a little later in the afternoon, but it was still fairly light out. It was a 180 second exposure, which is why you can see the motion of the clouds, and the smoothness of the lake (which was actually very choppy that day)
